Hey friends! I wanted to introduce you to an epic fellow entrepreneur~ Claire Coder. She's only 19 years old and recently launched the Crowd Funding Campaign for Aunt Flow.

Claire first pitched her idea at a Startup Weekend and quickly discovered that there was a need for women's hygiene products. Tampons aren't covered by food stamps and are often taxed. Coder created a subscription based service which also follows a buy one, give one model.

"For every box a woman purchases online, Aunt Flow will donate a box of products to a local shelter or organization of the woman’s choice. Taking care of your flow, takes her flow." -Aunt Flow

Check out her info vid:

In addition to the subscription service, Claire is passionate about decreasing the stigma around periods. We all have them, ladies. “I want to make sure we lessen the taboo-ness of talking about tampons,” Coder says.

My favorite quote from aunt flow? "You don't have to be self concious about being socially concsios." Periods are a little weird to talk about, but Aunt Flow is changing the world by addressing an issue that most people would shy away from.

You can find out more about Aunt Flow in the website- auntflow.org. To donate to the campaign, check out the Crowd Rise campaign here. Finally, to connect with Aunt Flow via twitter at @goauntflow.
